BVBC Weekend Rides (April through October)
Rides start from a wide variety of start locations throughout Southeastern Wisconsin with most routes offering two or three distance options. Individuals or small groups ride together at a pace that is comfortable for them. All riders are provided with a cue sheet and map -plus- BVBC members have access to club routes on Ride With GPS (see below).
Rides depart promptly at 9:00AM (May through September), 10:00AM (April and October) or 11:00AM (Winter rides – Thanksgiving weekend through March). Make sure to arrive early enough to sign in, set up your bike, and greet friends – both old and new. Please be ready for pre-ride briefing which begins five minutes before the ‘kickstands up’ time.
BVBC Tuesday Morning Rides (May through October)
Join your BVBC friends for a leisurely paced group ride. Routes are determined on day of ride but are typically around 20 miles. Start time is 9:00AM from the Beulah Brinton Community Center *except* for the third Tuesday of each month. On these dates, the ride starts from Greenfield Park in the lot across from Cool Waters.
Weather and Road Conditions
Occasionally, rides are canceled or routes are modified due to poor weather or other unsafe road conditions. The Ride Coordinator for the ride has final decision-making authority in this regard. If in doubt, check the club’s Facebook page – we’ll try to post ride cancellations at least two hours ahead of the scheduled start time. In the case of questionable weather conditions, check the radar. Sometimes it’s raining at your house but not at the location of the ride.
Ride with GPS
One of the benefits of being a BVBC member is free access to the club page on Ride with GPS. This is a very popular app which provides turn by turn guidance during club rides. If you’d like the link and instructions for signing up, please send an e-mail request to Info@BayViewBikeClub.org.
