BVBC Weekend Rides (April through October)
Rides start from a wide variety of start locations throughout Southeastern Wisconsin with most routes offering two or three distance options.  Individuals or small groups ride together at a pace that is comfortable for them.  All riders are provided with a cue sheet and map -plus- BVBC members have access to club routes on Ride With GPS (see below).

Rides depart promptly at 9:00AM (May through September), 10:00AM (April and October/early November) or 11:00AM (Thanksgiving through March).  Make sure to arrive early enough to sign in, set up your bike, and greet friends – both old and new.  Please be ready for pre-ride briefing which begins five minutes before the ‘kickstands up’ time.

BVBC Tuesday Morning Rides (May through October)
Tuesday morning rides have resumed though weekly schedule is subject to change based upon Ride Coordinator availability and/or the implementation of any new pandemic related restrictions. Please check the club’s Facebook page for confirmation of time and location. Routes are determined on day of ride but are typically around 20 miles. This is a leisurely paced group ride.

Weather and Road Conditions
Occasionally, rides are canceled or routes are modified due to poor weather or other unsafe road conditions with the Ride Coordinator having final decision-making authority. If in doubt, check the club’s Facebook page where we’ll try to post ride cancelations at least two hours ahead of time. In the case of questionable weather conditions, check the radar. Sometimes it’s raining at your house but not at the location of the ride.

Sunday, May 16, 2021:           SubUrban Fixx             Distance options: 32
NEW ROUTE FOR 2021: Mostly residential streets and bike lanes through Elm Grove and Brookfield before becoming rural in Menomonee Falls. The Bugline Trail takes us to Sussex and from there the return is through parts of Pewaukee and Brookfield.

Directions to start from Zoo Interchange (approximate drive time: 10 minutes):
Take I-41/US-45 north to Exit 40 for Watertown Plank Road and drive west two miles. Bear right onto Juneau Blvd (don’t follow WPR as it bends slightly left towards the Elm Grove Village center). The park is on the right, just before the railroad tracks. Drive past the library and police station, all the way to the north end of the parking lot.  Restrooms are available in the park.

Saturday, May 22, 2021:        South ‘Hills’ Sodbuster          Distance options: 26, 40, 56
NEW ROUTING FOR 2021: The name South Hills was always an oxymoron for a mostly flat ride passing Racine County cornfields and sod farms.  In addition to the new name, the new routing keeps the distances together longer and provides an additional rest option in Waterford.

Directions to start from Mitchell Interchange (approximate drive time: 15 minutes):
Head south on I-41 S / I-94 E to Exit 329 for County Road K.  Turn left to cross under freeway and then turn right onto the East Frontage Rd (just after Pilot station).  Proceed 1.4 miles to golf course. Restrooms are available in clubhouse.

Sunday, May 23, 2021:           Germantown Roll      Distance options: 24, 32, 40
Ride from Germantown through rural Washington County to West Bend.

Directions to start from Zoo Interchange (approximate drive time: 20 minutes):
Take I-41 N to Exit 54 for W 167 E / Lannon Rd / Mequon Road.  Turn right and drive east for 1.7 miles to stoplight at Western Ave.  Turn left and proceed 0.5 miles to end of Western Ave.  Park entrance is just to the left on Main St.  A PortaPotty is typically available in the park.

Saturday, May 29, 2021:        Brown Deer to Cedarburg     Distance options: 32
Fairly easy ride through suburban River Hills and Mequon.  Continues to Cedarburg and rural areas to the west.

Directions to start from Marquette Interchange (approximate drive time: 15 minutes):
Take I-43 north to Exit 80 (Good Hope Road).  Turn left and drive west on 2.1 miles to Teutonia Ave.  Turn right and drive 0.5 miles north to Calumet and turn right.  Once in the park, make the first left and park in the lot adjacent to the tennis courts.  Restrooms are available in park.

Sunday, May 30, 2021:           Parkside                      Distance options: 25, 34, 47
Easy ride through Kenosha County.  NEW FOR 2021: Longer routes have rest stop option at Happy Acres Kampground.

Directions to start from Mitchell Interchange (approximate drive time: 30 minutes):
Head south on I-41 S / I-94 E.  Take Exit 339 to County Road E. Turn left onto County Road E and proceed east for 3.9 miles. Turn left onto WI-31 N and drive 0.5 miles. Turn right onto County Road JR and proceed 0.6 miles.  Turn left into park and use the first lot on the left (by the Biergarten and Dog Park). Restrooms are available in park.

Monday, May 31, 2021:         South Shore to Gorney Park Distance options: 26, 42
Ride through St. Francis, Cudahy, South Milwaukee and Oak Creek with long route passing Gorney Park.

Directions to start from Marquette Interchange (approximate drive time: 10 minutes):
Take I-794 / WI-794 (Lake Parkway) and exit at Oklahoma Ave.  Turn right and proceed east 0.7 miles to Superior Street.  Turn left and drive six blocks to Estes Street.  Turn right and park in the vicinity of the pavillion.  Restrooms are available in park.
